Anxiety Gets Louder In The Absence Of Visibility
Your anxiety is not always coming from reality.
Sometimes it is coming from fog.
Not knowing where your money is going.
Not knowing what the next month looks like.
Not knowing what the real problem is.
Not knowing what happens if things get tighter.
That lack of visibility creates noise.
And your mind fills the gaps with worst-case scenarios.
We are all hard-wired with a negativity bias. That is why anxiety gets louder when visibility gets lower. Uncertainty gives fear too much room to speak.
The solution is not always to calm yourself down. Sometimes the solution is to see more clearly.
Get the numbers in front of you.
Look at the calendar.
Track the spending.
Map the next 30 days.
Name the actual problem.
Because what is vague will always feel bigger than it is. And what is visible becomes easier to deal with.
So if your mind feels noisy right now, don’t just ask “How do I feel less anxious?”
Instead ask “What do I need to make more visible?”
Because clarity does not remove every problem.
But it does stop your imagination from making them worse.
