They Really Don't Care (That Much)

Stop giving so much power to other people’s opinions.

Because they really don’t care that much… certainly not as much you think they do.

The negative opinions that stop you from doing what it is you truly want to do… you’re giving them more weight than they’re worth.

The positive opinions that you value so highly and try to elicit at every opportunity… they’re not as valuable as you’re making them out to be.

This is going to hurt your ego (and we all have one) but the truth is, other people have their own shit going on… and it’s more important to them than you are.

They might throw shade in your direction if they don’t agree with something you’re doing… for a brief moment… and then they’re straight back to thinking about and doing their own thing.

They might praise you if they like something they see… for a second or two… and then they’re right back to focusing on what’s most important to them.

Don’t take it personally. It is what it is.

Just remember it next time the fear, or pursuit, of other people’s opinions stands in your way.
